Tadanari Lee (Japanese李 忠 成Ri Tadanari; born December 12, 1985 in Tanashi ) is a Japanese football player at the position of the striker.

Lee was born in the third generation living in Japan Koreans. His Korean name is Lee Chung- Sung, as he used his name registered in the passport Tadanari Ōyama (Japanese大 山 忠 成, Ōyama Tadanari ). Lee's father was also a footballer.

Club career

Lee started his professional career in 2004 at FC Tokyo and moved in 2005 to Kashiwa Reysol, where he played until 2009. With Kashiwa he succeeded after descending 2005 2006 direct resurgence in the J. League and the 2008 finals of the Emperor Cup. In 2009 he moved during the season to Sanfrecce Hiroshima, where he played until 2012. On January 25, 2012 Lee moved to Southampton FC in the second English League; at the end of the season he succeeded with the team promotion to the Premier League.

National team career

Lee first played in youth teams of the South Korean national football team before he decided to run for Japan. For the Japanese U23 he took part in the football tournament of the 2008 Olympics, but failed in the preliminary round. His debut for the senior team gave Lee on 9 January 2011 against Jordan. In the finals of the Asian Cup 2011 against Australia, he scored the 1-0 and helped Japan thus to his fourth title.
