Days Waldhorn from southeast

The days Waldhorn (Italian Corno di Tramin ) is at an altitude of 2708 meters, the second highest summit of the Ostkamms Sarntaler Alps. The rocky peaks lying northeast of the Flaggerscharte ( 2436 m slm ), the ( 2741 m slm ) separates the mountain from the southern tip of Jacob, the highest peak of the Sarntaler Ostkamms.

Routes

The usual rise is from the south, with the offering, the Flaggerschartenhütte (also Marburger hut, 2481 m slm ) as a base. To situated near the hut Flaggerscharte you can either from the west, come from Durnholzer lake, in about 2 ½ to 3 hours, or east of Mittenwald by the Flaggertal in about 5 hours. From the hut the marked trail leads northward, where soon a short, insured descent is to cope with a rock wall. Next, the path leads, initially almost flat, the southern flank, crossing the mountain approach. Then it goes quite steeply up to the east ridge and through this to the summit. The increase of the claimed Flaggerschartenhütte 1 ½ hours.

Alternatively, the mountain also of keys in the Sarn Valley on the Traminscharte ( 2,380 m) and the rather steep northwest ridge is reached (I).
