Tahmina Kohistani

Tahmina Kohistani ( born June 18, 1989 in Kapisa ) is an Afghan athlete.

Tahmina Kohistani studied at the University of Kabul in Afghanistan sport and intends to set up a sports academy for women.

At the Track World Junior Championships 2008, she ran 15.00 seconds in the 100m sprint. At the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships 2012 in Istanbul, she ran in the sprint over 60 meters a personal best of 9.32 seconds.

At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, she was the only Afghan participant. She started in the sprint over 100 meters and finished with a time of 14.42 seconds to place 32 in the heats. Thus, the 1.60 meter tall and 52 kilogram athlete once again achieved a personal best.
