Takao Saito (cinematographer)
Takao Saitō (Japanese斎 藤 孝 雄, Saitō Takao, born March 5, 1920 in Kyoto, Honshu ) is a Japanese cameraman.
Life
Saitō worked 1947-1961 in nine films of the Japanese director Akira Kurosawa as a camera assistant with. Then he was up to the movie Madadayo in 1993 in nine other films as a cameraman for Kurosawa worked. For Kurosawa's Ran late work he was nominated together with Masaharu Ueda and Asakazu Nakai 1986 Best for the Oscar in the category camera.
