Tal Wilkenfeld

Tal Wilkenfeld ( born December 2, 1986 in Sydney ) is an Australian jazz and fusion bassist.

At the age of 14 years Wilkenfeld began playing guitar and alternated with 17 to electric bass. She left high school to become a musician, and moved at the age of 16 years in the United States of America. In Los Angeles she started as a session musician, was there soon for their musicality in the tradition of bassists such as Jaco Pastorius known. After two years she moved to New York City, where she performed with musicians such as Jeff " Tain " Watts, the Allman Brothers Band, Leni Stern, Russell Ferrante, Susan Tedeschi, Hiram Bullock, Kenwood Dennard, Adam Deitch and David Kikoski.

Wilkenfeld published 2007 debut CD " Transformation", composed on the seven of her, produced and arranged tracks can be heard.

Already with 21 accompanied Wilkenfeld both Chick Corea on Australian tour as well as Jeff Beck through Europe. Since then she has played with many other greats such as Eric Clapton, Steve Lukather, Herbie Hancock, Joss Stone, Wayne Shorter, Lee Ritenour, Wayne Krantz the trio and Corinne Bailey Rae.

Wilkenfeld was elected in 2008 by the readers of "Bass Player " magazine, the most interesting newcomer of the year.

Tal Wilkenfeld was soon discovered by Roger Sadowsky, the owner of " Sadowsky Guitars ". It was, as well as for the Swedish amplifier EBS, contracted advertising partner.
