Criticism

" Frears, known for stormy love affairs ( " My Beautiful Laundrette "), but also for decorative features cinema ( " Cheri " ), shall submit a by his standards pretty mainstreamige Love and jealousy comedy, but elegantly flows and is peppered with allusions and dialogues. Ex - Bond girl Gemma Arterton is a feast for the eyes in the role of Tamara. The men who lie at her feet get all horns attached. Unsuspecting city dwellers are also warned of the largely underestimated risk of Kuhstampeden in open terrain. Entertaining Brit comedy with quirky characters, lots of land Lust atmosphere and an extremely long-legged Gemma Arterton. "

" The dominance of the culture of gossip and the surface reception today's readers are ubiquitous in this small, charming and lovely comedy that offers between snappy, sassy and provincial farce with Boulevard character for every generation perspectives. "

" The result is a quirky ensemble comedy that lives primarily from its well-written and played quirky supporting characters. "

" Downright oppressive good but are Jessica Barden and Charlotte Christie in the roles of the two frustrated - devilish girl. It is a spectacle of fireworks, with whom she einheizen this film - childish than in a comic, but all the more dangerous in its naïveté. " Tamara Drewe " as the title evokes the impression it was about the beautiful young woman. It 's all or nothing. And cows. More than you 'd think. "
