Tanjong Pagar United FC

The Tanjong Pagar United Football Club is a Singaporean football club. He plays in the top league in the country, the S. League. Play their home games, the club from the Queenstown Stadium.

History

In 1975, the club was founded as Tiong Bahru Constituency Sports Club and took first in Division III of the National Football League. In 1978, rose to be a master in the Division II, the following year of the walkover managed to Division I. By winning the President's Cup 1982 was the first Cup victory to be won, one year later they won for the first time the National Football League. Overall, it was up to the introduction of the S. League Cup twice (1983, 1987) and five times the Cup (1982, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1994) pick.

Due to the previous success of the Tiong Bahru Constituency Sports Club was allowed to participate as one of eight teams at the recreated S. League. As part of this was called in 1995 in Tiong Bahru Football Club has to offer. Its home games are no longer wore out at the Queenstown Stadium. Two years later, a re-naming the current name Tanjong Pagar United Football Club.

After entering the new professional league Tanjong Pagar was not able to earlier successes, 1997, 1998 and 200 there was only enough for runner-up in the S. League, winning the Singapore Cup 1998 is still the last track. After the 2004 season, which one graduated as Table, the Group withdrew due to financial problems of the S. League.

2011 took place after a seven year hiatus to return to the S. League. The home games were henceforth be held at Clementi Stadium, as the Queenstown Stadium now served as the home of Etoile FC. After its withdrawal from the League prior to the start of the 2012 season they returned back to Queenstown back stage.
