Tapete Records

Tapete Records is an independent record label based in Hamburg.

It was founded in 2002 by Gunther Buskies and Dirk Darmstaedter and initially focused on German pop bands such as Niels Frevert, Erdmöbel, Tele or Anajo. Since 2005, the label also manages acts from the USA, Great Britain and Scandinavia, for example, Lloyd Cole, Tess and The Horror The Horror.

To Tapete Records includes wallpaper Booking. The booking agency represents label his own bands as well as bands that do not advertise on Tapete Records. Overall wallpaper Booking booked currently about 40 acts (eg, Lloyd Cole, Danny Saucedo, Super Punk, Niels Frevert, HGich.T, Bernd Begemann & Die liberation, Christian Kjellvander, Fist, Bart Davenport, false color and many more).

BootBooHook Festival

From 2008 to 2012 hosted Tapete Records eV together with the Cultural Association FAUST and the Spandau project in August each year, the multi-day BootBooHook Music Festival in Hannover. In addition to German bands of the wallpaper Labels increasingly took place international acts. From 2008 to 2011, the festival took place on the FIST terrain the Linden- Nord, due to complaints from neighbors and the limited size of the site, the festival attracted 2012 on the former site of Expo 2000, the Expo Park Kronsberg.

At the first festival in 2008 were about 20 bands on the stages of the " 60s - hall " and " Mephisto ", including Super Punk, Danny Saucedo and Bernd Begemann. It was attended by about 1,200 people. 2009, the festival was much larger. The site was expanded to include a campground and a large open-air stage, so that more than 30 bands, including Tocotronic, Kettcar, false color and Tele, occurred in front of 5000 spectators. 2010 were headlining The Notwist, Hot Chip, Friska Viljor, The Go! On June 3, 2013 it was announced that the BootBooHook Festival in 2013 will not take place. The reason was the pre-sale, which was far below the expectations of the organizers. In addition, reported the BootBooHook GmbH that it will file for bankruptcy.
