Tapio Luusua

Tapio Luusua (* August 4, 1981 in Pelkosenniemi ) is a Finnish freestyle skis. He specializes in the moguls and dual moguls mogul disciplines.

Biography

Luusua debuted on 27 November 1999 in the freestyle skiing World Cup, scoring in Tandådalen the 13th Place. In his debut season, this was his best result. The first podium finish followed on 14 December 2000, when he finished the Moguls competition in third place in Tignes. He qualified for the 2002 Winter Olympics, where he finished fifth. The first World Cup victory was on 19 December 2002 in Ruka.

After two regular seasons Luusua was on 14 December 2005 in Tignes 's second World Cup victory of his career celebrate, but he missed due to injury the Olympic Winter Games 2006. In the seasons 2006/ 07, 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09 was ever a second place finish his best result. At the 2009 World Championships in Inawashiro he won the silver medal in dual moguls competition, the bronze medal in the moguls competition. In the winter of 2009/10 he did not have a tenth place out in the World Cup.
