Taras Mykhalyk

Taras Wolodymyrowytsch Mychalyk (Ukrainian Тарас Володимирович Михалик; , born October 28, 1983 in Ljubeschiw, Volyn oblast ) is a Ukrainian football player.

Career

At the age of 18 years, Mychalyk joined the Ukrainian second division club FK CSKA Kiev. In his four years there, he was the greatest time regulars and scored ten goals in 89 games. He was taken from Dynamo Kiev under contract in 2005, but first played on loan for half a year at FC Hoverla - Zakarpattya Uzhhorod. After his return in January 2006 he managed under coach Anatoliy Demyanenko not the final breakthrough in the starting lineup and played occasionally as a defensive midfielder.

On 10 July 2007, he helped his team with two goals for the Ukrainian Supercup, the Dynamo Kiev ultimately won on penalties.

As Kiev 2007, Yuri Pavlovich Syomin got a new coach to Mychalyk increasingly established as a regular in central defense. In the winter transfer window of 2009, the defender has been linked with a move to AC Milan. Ultimately extended Mychalyk its actually the summer of 2010 expiring contract until 2013. In April 2009, he retired to a meniscus injury that will put him out of action for six months.

In August 2006, he was playing for the first time for the Ukrainian national team in a 6-0 win over Azerbaijan. He also participated with the U- 21 team of his country at the U - 21 Championship 2006, where he was a regular player and his team reached the final, which they lost 0-3 against the Netherlands.
