Tarzan's Three Challenges

Tarzan's death duel is an adventure film made in 1963 by Robert Day for motives of Tarzan stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The film is the second adventure with Tarzan Jock Mahoney in the title role and originated in American- British co-production.

Action

Tarim, the ruler of Sun May is dying. His brother Khan is planning to take over the throne to bring his own son in the succession. Kashi, Tarims son and legal successor, lives in another kingdom. He asks Tarzan to him to accompany him to the Sun of May. When Tarzan arrives from Africa, causing monks that he undergoes tests to confirm his identity. After Tarzan has passed the tests in which he had to compete in agility, strength and intelligence, the monks accept Tarzan as a companion of the Prince.

On the trip to Sun May group is attacked by Khan's men. Kashi and his governess Cho San will be captured. Tarzan can rescue them and reach Sun May them. Background

The film was premiered in June 1963. In Germany, he first appeared on January 29, 1963 in the cinemas.

The film was shot in Thailand and Malaysia.

The role of the Tarim was also played by Woody Strode. His voice was but synchronized by George pastel.

In addition to Director Day and starring Woody Strode Mahoney also had experience with Tarzan films. In 1958 he had a role opposite Gordon Scott in Tarzan's struggle for life. In the produced 1966-1969 television series starring Ron Ely he was in seven episodes here. Also co-author of Berne Giler had previously been involved in Tarzan films ( Tarzan 's Greatest Adventure and Tarzan the Mighty ).

When the film premiered, Jock Mahoney was 44 years old. He was the oldest actor ever portrayed Tarzan.
