Täschhorn

Täschhorn, behind the cathedral and right Alphubel

The Täschhorn Located in the Valais Alps and has an altitude of 4'491 m.

The Täschhorn belongs to Mischabelgruppe, according to the Monte Rosa, the second highest mountain range in Switzerland. The Täschhorn one of the most difficult to be climbed four thousand meter peaks of the Valais. Due to the demanding normal route ( Mischabel ) this peak is observed relatively rarely.

The first ascent of Täschhorn took place on July 30, 1862 by Stefan and Johann Zumtaugwald, J. Llewelyn Davies, JW Hayward and Peter- Josef Summer Matter on the NW flank ( Kinflanke ) directly from Randa.
