Tasman Council

Tasman is located in the southeast of the island and consists of the Tasman and the Forestier Peninsula about 40 km southeast of the capital, Hobart. The area includes 14 districts and towns: Eaglehawk Neck, Fortescue, Highcroft, Koonya, Murdunna, Nubeena, Oakwood, Port Arthur, Premaydena, Saltwater River, Taranna, Turner's Point, and White Beach. The headquarters of the Council is located in the village of Nubeena on the west coast of Tasmaninsel, where about 280 inhabitants.

Management

The Tasman Council has nine members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor seven are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Tasman is not divided into districts.
