Tasmin Little

Tasmin Little OBE ( born May 13, 1965 in London) is a British violinist. She plays on a Guadagnini violin of 1757 and has a " Regent " Stradivarius on loan from the Royal Academy of Music.

She was born in London, where she studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and later at the Guildhall School of Music under Pauline Scott. She was known for her finals at the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 1982. Her father is the actor George Little.

In 1998, she made ​​her professional solo debut with the Hallé Orchestra. She was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Bradford in 1996.

To date she has made 23 recordings with a repertoire of Max Bruch and Johannes Brahms to Mieczysław Karłowicz and Arvo Pärt. Two more CDs added.
