Taşova ( Turkish for stone level) is a town with 1052 m² of surface second largest Ilce ( district ) of the Turkish province of Amasya. The county is bordered on the east by the county Erbaa ( Tokat province ), on the west by the districts of Amasya and Ladik ( Samsun), on the north by the districts Çarşamba ( Samsun) and on the south by Turhal ( Tokat ).

History

Taşova belonged since the founding of the Republic from 1923 to 1944 to the district Erbaa ( Tokat province ). At that time it was still called Yemişenbükü. On 4 August 1944, it was declared a county. In 1953 they separated Taşova of Tokat and incorporated it into the province of Amasya.
