Tatiara is located in the southeast of South Australia about 250 km southeast of the city of Adelaide on the border with Victoria. The area includes 28 districts and towns: Banealla, Bangham, Bordertown, Brecon, Brimbago, Buckingham, Cangara, Cannawigara, Carew, Custon, Geegeela, Jack 's Camp, Keith, Kongal, Lowan Vale, Makin, Moonkoora, Mount Rescue, Mundulla, Nalang, Padthaway, Pooginagoric, Sherwood, Swedes Flat, Wampoony, Western Flat, Willalooka and Wirrega. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in Bordertown in the east of the LGA.

Management

The Council of Tatiara has ten members, nine Councillor elected by the residents of the two wards ( seven from the East, two from the West Ward). These two districts are set independently of the villages. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the LGA.
