Tavşanlı is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Kütahya. The city is located about 45 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital of Kütahya.

The district is located in the west of the province. It is bordered on the east by the central district, on the southeast by Aslanapa, to the south by Emet and Simav, on the west by the province of Balıkesir, in the northwest of the province of Bursa, on the north by Domanic and on the northeast by the province Bilecik. In Tavşanlı intersect the highways D- 595, which passes to the north of Simav on Iznik Gölü to the Gulf of İzmit in the Sea of ​​Marmara, and the D -230 of Edremit on the Aegean Sea after Kütahya. The city Tavşanlı is represented by the football club TKI Tavşanlı Linyitspor in the second highest Turkish league. The games take place in Tavşanlı Ada Stadium.

Attractions

About ten kilometers west of Tavşanlı is the Phrygian rock monument of Dikilitaş.
