Bilecik Province

Bilecik is a province of Turkey. Its capital is the same Bilecik.

The province has 225 381 inhabitants ( 2010 census ) in an area of ​​4181 km ². It borders the provinces of Bursa, Kütahya, Sakarya, Bolu and Eskişehir.

Since it was born in the small town Söğüt in the 14th century Osman I, it is seen as the nucleus of the Ottoman Empire.
