Konya Province

The Turkish province of Konya ( Iconium Greek, Latin Iconium ) is Turkey's largest province by area. Its capital is the same Konya. Geography

History and Culture

South-east of Konya, about 40 km away, is Çatalhöyük, one of the oldest settlements of mankind. About 70 km to the west lie the Hittite source sanctuary Eflatun Pınar and may include associated large sculpture at Fasıllar.

Konya is traditionally considered conservative aligned province.
