Ordu Province

Ordu is a Turkish province in the eastern part of the Turkish Black Sea coast. The provincial capital is the same Ordu. Due to the humid climate and abundant rain falling it has a very green flora.

The population traditionally operates hazelnut agriculture, of which the majority is exported abroad. Due to the mountainous countryside of the harvest is a very tedious job.

Geography

The province is 5963 km ² and is located on the Pontic Mountains. According to the census of 2012 it has 741 371 inhabitants. This corresponds to a population density of 121 inhabitants / km ².

The province has the longest 3820 meters tunnel Turkey, located on the coast road E 10 Nefise - Akçelik Tüneli.
