Tavua, Fiji

Division

Tavua is a city on Viti Levu in Fiji with 2388 inhabitants ( 2007). It is located around 91 km from Nadi and 9 km from the gold mining settlement of Vatukoula away. The village covers an area of about 100 km, was granted the status in 1992 as a city. One of the senators of the Fiji Parliament, Chandra Singh, is since 2001 one of the representatives of the city.

The town belongs to the province of Ba. The settlement has to the Tavua FC about a football club, which participates in the National Football League.
