Tchirozérine is a department in the Agadez Region in Niger.

Geography

The Department is located in the center of the country. It consists of the municipalities of Agadez and Tchirozérine and the rural communities Dabaga and Tabelot. The eponymous capital of the department is Tchirozérine.

History

The territory of the department Tchirozérine originally belonged to 1964 created Arrondissement Agadez, which consists of a district ( circonscription ) emerged the same name in the Aïr region. The area of ​​the arrondissements of Agadez in 1969 divided between the arrondissements Tchirozérine and Arlit.
