TED Ankara Kolejliler

The TED Ankara Spor Kulübü Kolejliler is a Turkish sports club was established in 1954 in Ankara, which is connected to the private educational institution TED Ankara Koleji. The club is best known for its professional basketball team of the gentlemen who repeatedly played in international club competitions. Both the women's team and the volleyball team of men and women plays in the Turkish league. But the ice hockey team of men played a long time in the highest Turkish leagues.

History

The club was relegated in 1966 in the first Turkish league. It succeeded Ankara initially to remain until 1977 in the first division. The association played in the 1973/74 season the first European in the European Cup Winners' Cup. After descending 1977 Kolejliler developed into a lift club. Until the beginning of the season 1990/91 the club three times increased even up and down. Beginning of the 1990 years played Ankara initially successful, finishing fourth in 1992 and 1993, the third place in the championship. Beginning with the 1991/92 season played Ankara for three consecutive years in Korać Cup. In the 1993/94 season Kolejliler reached the third round in Korać Cup and failed here to ALBA Berlin. There followed several years in the second Turkish league, interrupted by the climbs 1996, 1998, 2006, 2012. However, Ankara could hold a maximum of four years in the first Turkish league. After climbing 2012 Ankara immediately reached the Turkish play-offs and failed there in the quarterfinals to Anadolu Efes SK. Nevertheless, Ankara was allowed in the Eurocup 2013/14 start, reaching there the knockout games in the second round.

The Hockey section of the club took place in the 1990s and 2000s in part to the top division of Turkey, the Super League. They usually occupied average places. End of the 200 years the department was dissolved.

Volleyball

The volleyball women took 2012/13 part in the European CEV Cup.
