Ted Leo and the Pharmacists is an indie rock band from New Jersey ( based in Washington DC) in the USA.

History

After Ted Leo's previous band, Chisel, disbanded in the late 1990s, he took 1999 Album Tej Leo (?), Rx / Pharmacists at 2000 followed by Treble in Trouble. 2001 Ted Leo of Lookout! Taken Records. His published there next album, The Tyranny of Distance, quickly secured him a loyal following and praise from critics. Dave Lerner, Chris Wilson and keyboardist Dorien Garry were permanent members of the band during the tour this year. Two years later the Hearts -of- Oak - album, the release of the concert DVD Dirty Old Town and the Tell- Balgeary, Balgury -Is- Dead -EP. Garry keyboardist left the band before the recording of the album Shake the Sheets, which was released in October 2004. On this album you more stressed than before political statements. Leo represents liberal views and is strict vegans.

In 2007, the band released on Touch and Go Records their next album Living with the Living and toured Germany. 2010 was followed by the album The Brutalist Bricks, which was released by Matador Records.
