Teresa Scanlan

Teresa Scanlan (born 6 February 1993 Gering, Nebraska) is an American beauty queen and Miss America 2011. Failure to Nebraska in 2010 is the most recent title holder since Bette Cooper 1937.

Biography

Scanlan is of Croatian descent. Her grandparents mütterlicherweits, Frank and Nives Jelich, immigrated from the island Ilovik, Croatia, in the United States.

Scanlan received extracurricular lessons until her first half junior year at Gering High School. She earned a degree at the Scottsbluff High School in spring 2010, after she had repeated a year there.

The title of Miss Nebraska won on 5 June 2010 and took the crown from its predecessor Brittany Jeffers in reception.

Scanlan is interested in eating disorders and plays the piano. At age 17 she was the youngest Miss Nebraska ever. After winning the title of Miss Nebraska Scanlan announced a year off from school in order to meet their obligations as Miss Nebraska, and that they have postponed their enrollment to Patrick Henry College in the fall of 2011.

The title of Miss America, she won 15 January 2011 as the first Miss Nebraska and youngest winner in 74 years.

Scalan studied since 2012 at the evangelical Patrick Henry College.
