Terrence Howard

Terrence Dashon Howard ( born March 11, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American actor. His most important movies include Crash and Hustle & Flow.

Biography

Howard was already in his childhood delight in acting. He was his grandmother, Minnie Gentry, the actress, often seen in their work. His own acting career began in the Cosby Show, after he was discovered at a casting in New York. It was soon followed by more guest appearances, including in the series NYPD Blue.

His first major film role was Howard in 1995 in the movie Mr. Holland's Opus on the side of Richard Dreyfuss. It was followed by other roles in films such as The Tribunal (2002, with Bruce Willis ) and the Oscar- winning film Ray ( 2004).

For his roles in the films Crash (2004) and Hustle & Flow (2005) Howard was nominated for several awards (among Golden Globe Award ) and won several awards. In 2008, he starred in Iron Man.

Howard is married and has three children.
