Terzan 7

Terzan 7 is a globular cluster in the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy, which was discovered in 1968 by astronomer Agop Terzan.

While almost all globular clusters in the Milky Way halo arose before 12-15 billion years ago, a much later origin is assumed for Terzan 7 and some others, mainly belonging to the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy globular clusters. These data also suggest that Terzan 7 originated there.
