Thai Rung Union Car

Thai Rung Union Car Public Company Limited ( Thai: บริษัท ไทย รุ่ง ยู เนี่ ย น คา ร์ จำกัด มหาชน ) is Thailand's only automobile producer. There vehicles are produced under its own brand name there. Also, the plant produces cars for the brands Isuzu, Nissan, Chevrolet, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Ford, Mazda and Toyota.

The Thai Rung automobiles are often abbreviated in Thailand with TR.

History

Thai Rung Union Car 1967, the Public Company Limited of Vichien Phaoenchoke (originally Vichien Sae Chung ) was established with government help. With negotiations succeeded negotiate licenses from different manufacturers. And with the entry in the SET index on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the Thai approximate value increased enormously and developed into the most important regional automobile manufacturers.

Thai Rung in 1999 expanded to Chile. There, the vehicles are sold but only with moderate success. Nevertheless, Thai Rung is safe to build there a larger dealer network.

Since 2000, Thai Rung vehicles are sold to China and Iran as kit cars. An extension of the kit-car - sales department to Egypt, Kenya and the Philippines will take place soon. However, workshops are sought with trained professionals for this destination yet.
