Thalwinkel is a district of Bad Bibra in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

Thalwinkel located in the Natural Park Saale Unstrut Triasland between Weimar and Halle ( Saale).

History

About the first mention of the place does not have precise information. The documentary was first mentioned for Thalwinkel took place in the year 1326. Probably the place has existed prior to 1290, when it was first mentioned as a possession of Kirchscheidungen. Together with Tröbsdorf belonged Thalwinkel after 1326 to the castle Scheidunger interest villages, and is therefore closely connected with the history of the castle Burgscheidungen.

On 1 July 2009 Thalwinkel was amalgamated with its neighborhood Bergwinkel to Bad Bibra. The last mayor was Hartmut Spengler.

Structures

• The church is a building from 1734, which - was built by the parish - with the financial support of the Royal Sardinian General stuff Master Levin Friedrich von der Schulenburg on Burgscheidungen. Traffic

West of the town runs the federal highway 250 which leads from Eckartsberga to Bad Bibra, as well as the federal highway 176 south of Thalwinkel.
