Thanos Plevris

Athanasios Plevris or Thanos Plevris (Greek Αθανάσιος Πλεύρης; born May 21, 1977) is a Greek lawyer and politician of the right-wing party Popular Orthodox Synagermos (Eng. " Orthodox people meeting ", in short: LAOS ).

Plevris is the son of Holocaust denier and anti-Semitic representative of the extreme right Kostas Plevris. Athanasios Plevris has indeed publicly distanced itself from the political views of his father, but as a lawyer defending him against charges of sedition and praised the " in force in Greece freedom " after his acquittal.

Plevris studied law at Athens University and received his doctorate in criminal law. He completed a postgraduate course in Medical Law at the University of Heidelberg. During his stay there he was 2002 Chairman of the Association of Greek and Cypriot students.
