Thaworn Wiratchant

Thaworn Wiratchant ( Thai: ถาวร วิ รัตน์ จันทร์ - pronounced [t ʰ ă -won wi -RAT ʤan ], born December 28, 1966) is a Thai professional golfer the Asian Tour and the European Tour.

Career

After a very successful amateur career, in their reverberations Wiratchant 1987 three major Asian tournaments - the Thailand Amateur Open Championship, the Singapore Amateur Open Championship and the Southeast Asian Games - could win, he was at the end of those success year professional golfer.

Since 1995, he regularly plays on the Asian Tour and celebrated there yet fifteen tournament victories, one of which also scored for the European Tour. Wiratchant won the money list standings of the seasons 2005 and 2012.

Since his victory at the Indonesia Open 2005, for which he is eligible to play on the European Tour, played Wiratchant numerous events of this tournament series. In the Open Championship in July 2006, he finished 31st place good.

His highly unorthodox golf swing - his hands are at the end of the backswing is directly above his head and his backswing long and pronounced - is his trademark and is always admired and photographed. Wiratchant himself says, he saw no need to modify this, because it works successfully since his amateur days.

He played for his country twice each Dunhill Cup and the World Cup. In the Asian team Wiratchant was in two previous Dynasty Cup encounters ( victorious ), and represented in the 2006 newly created Royal Trophy.

The single and lover of fast cars has his residence in Bangkok.
