François tries in vain to call Anne at work, he finally she meets at lunch in the restaurant. They argue, as Anne does not want to discuss her relationship with Christian. In the afternoon, François sees Christian again, together with a blonde woman. He observed the two during a bus trip, where he ( Lucie ) strikes a student who speaks to him. Together they follow Christian and the unknown woman in the Parc des Buttes -Chaumont. As the two enter into a house near the park, François and Lucie wait a long time compared to the café. Lucie developed the hypothesis that the two had an appointment with a lawyer and want a divorce. She asked François to send a message about the outcome of the story her and leaves.

In the evening, François re-visited Anne, he tells her that he wants to marry her, which she rejects. After he tells her about Christian, she shows him a picture, on which also the blonde woman can be seen. But it is not Christian's wife, but his sister. Later François met again Lucie and see how she hugged one of his colleagues at the Post. Nevertheless, he sends her the promised message.

Comments

  • The woman of the flier was shot like the first two films of Rohmer's Six Moral Tales cycle, in 16- mm format, Rohmer justified this choice by aesthetic criteria. After the disappointing box office earnings of Perceval le gallois stood for the film but also a minimal budget.
  • The other films in the cycle comedies and proverbs are: The beautiful Wedding ( 1982), Pauline at the beach (1983 ), Full Moon Nights ( 1984), The Green Ray (1986) and My Girlfriend's Boyfriend (1986).

Criticism

" Rohmer's film is an action- poor, living conversations and faces Vexierspiel about feelings and relationships, whose cheerful and melancholic mood the viewer communicates itself intensively. "
