The Besnard Lakes

The Besnard Lakes is a Canadian indie band from Montreal, comprised of the couple Jace Lasek and Olga Goreas.

Band History

The band was formed in 2001 by Jace Lasek and Olga Goreas that operate together the music studio Break Glass Studios. Before the shooting could start for the debut album, left the rest of the band The Besnard Lakes. The two ie took their debut album Volume 1 in the free time in the studio, and published it in 2003. According to some positive reviews was the guitarist Steve Raegele and Jeremiah Bullied and drummer Kevin Laing a live cast together.

During the recording of the second album Jeremiah Bullied was replaced by Richard White, the keyboardist Nicole Lizee came new to The Besnard Lakes. On 20 February 2007 The Besnard Lakes Are the Dark Horse was released on Jagjaguwar. In addition to the regular members of the band about 20 guests occurred, including musicians from Stars, The Dears, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and A Silver Mt Zion.
