The Cherrytree Sessions is the first EP of singer Lady Gaga. It was published on 3 February 2009 by the label Streamline, Kon Live, Cherrytree Records, Interscope Records as a digital download in the United States and Canada. In Germany, the EP was released on 6 August 2009 as a CD.
Reception and commercial success
Mark Bleech by Bloomberg L.P. gave the EP a positive rating 3 out of 4 stars. He also praised Lady Gaga's singing abilities. Simon Gage of Daily Express rated the EP 3 out of 5 stars:
" No, it is did she has a rather lovely voice. Often hidden under Those dastardly catchy beats euro, on synthesis Earlier, simpler versions of tracks: such as Poker Face and Just Dance, her voice gets a bit more of a chance to shine, as do the songs. "
" ... In the simpler versions of the songs Poker Face or Just Dance Gaga's voice comes to better advantage ... "
The EP was ranked 32 in the Mexican album charts. According to Nielsen SoundScan it has sold in the United States 9000 times, but could not place on the Billboard Hot 200,.
