Chillin (Wale song)

Chillin (also: Chillin ') is a song by the American rapper Wale and Lady Gaga. It is the first song from his debut album Attention: Deficit.

Background

Lady Gaga Wale asked in January 2009 whether they would like to record a song with him, because he was of the opinion that they could express the feeling of celebration music better. He said:

"If music was a high school, I feel like I'll be the dude on the football team, and it would be like, 'OK, Gaga's having a party! ' And you know all the bad girls are going to be out there. "

After whales learned that some were surprised with this cooperation, he said: "If Jay -Z can work with Coldplay, I am in a position to cooperate with Lady Gaga. " Mark Ronson sent the song to Lady Gaga. She said that will be her part of the song lyrics like "Lookin 'at, lookin' at, lookin 'at me / Eyes all stickin ' like honey on bees". The text captures the life and image of Wales home (Maryland and District of Columbia). It is strongly influenced by the Go-Go and the Rapstil 1990s.

Music Video

The music video was filmed and directed by Chris Robinson. It was released on 2 June 2009 on the YouTube channel of Interscope. There have collaborated on projects Young Chris, Tre, Pusha T, Anwan Glover and Bun B and can be seen in the video. Wale and Gaga are seen in the District of Columbia lying Cardozo Senior High School and at other places nearby. It also includes a scene in the famous hidden clothing store Bodega in Boston, where whales tried on different dresses. Furthermore, you can see some posters of Barack Obama. The video has been added to BET's rotation.

Chillin ' was at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 represented one weeks. It was there sold a total of 354,000 times. Furthermore, it reached # 29 in Australia, number 73 in Canada, # 19 in Ireland and # 6 in Chile. However, no chart placings were achieved despite the publication in many states.
