The Clanranald Trust for Scotland

The Clanranald Trust for Scotland is a registered charity in Scotland. It was founded in 1995. Its seat is in the Scottish Kincardine, the CEO is Charlie Allan.

Objective

The aim of the Clanranald Trust for Scotland is to receive in the first place, the Scottish culture and Scottish heritage through entertainment and education and spread.

Activities

  • Duncarron Medieval Fort - main development: replica of a medieval castle with a courtyard as an interactive visual visitor attraction
  • Enlightened activities for schools, private and public events
  • Combat International - the official Clanranald campaign team for stunts in film and television productions
  • Additional services for the film industry (actors, Combat Training, Schlachtchoreografie, Film Music, video productions, etc. )
  • Medieval martial arts lessons - train from medieval methods of struggle by the Scottish Federation of Medieval Martial Arts ( SFMMA ). Many members of the class to make the Combat International team with
  • Trade, manufacture and supply of medieval costumes, themed room equipment
  • Genealogy and Research Services for Scottish history
  • Saor Patrol - a five-piece folk band with bagpipes, drums and electric guitar

Youth work and social commitment

Weekly, the Trust is working with groups following facilities: Falkirk Council Justice Reform Services, Stirling New Deal program for long-term unemployed and North Lanarkshire Community Service program. The Trust is keen to the active support of young people who have been disadvantaged in educational, social and economic terms. You get the opportunity to participate in projects, thus to their skills and their potential to be promoted. Long-term unemployed and ex-soldiers to the way back to the normal daily life are made possible.

History

In 1995 the decision was made to recreate an original medieval village to illustrate the life and culture of Scotland at that time. The Trust was established and the proceeds and donations will be taken through the various activities (see above), flow into this project. So far have over 1,000,000 Euros will be charged to construction of Duncarron available. A huge supporter of the film actor Russell Crowe in which the chairman Charlie Allan is a close friend.
