The Coathangers

The Coathangers are a women - punk band from Atlanta.

History

The band formed in 2006 and played for fun at a House Party. Thereafter, they were also asked by Atlanta-based punk band The Hiss as the opening act. The Coathangers recently toured as the opening act of Trail of Dead Europe.

The name is according to the band a sarcastic reference to the hanger as a means to terminate the pregnancy.
