The Cribs

The Cribs are an indie rock band from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. The band consists of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross Jarman.

History

The first eponymous album " The Cribs " was released on 22 March 2004 in Germany. The second album "The New Fellas " was released on 20 June 2005 and includes, inter alia, the single " Hey Scenesters! " which is also in the U.S. series The OC could be heard. On 21 September 2007, the third album was released, entitled "Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever", which was produced by Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos, in Vancouver, Canada, and which, inter alia, the most famous single " Men's Needs " includes.

In August 2008 Johnny Marr ( Modest Mouse, The Smiths ) confirmed as second guitarist and a full fourth band member. 2011 Marr left the band again.

While the band in the UK has already celebrated some success and are already well known in the United States, the level of awareness in Germany still holds within limits.

In Germany the band was, inter alia, as support for the Kaiser Chiefs on tour and in 2007 played at Rock am Ring.
