The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place is the third album of post-rock band Explosions in the Sky, which was released on 4 November 2003.
Overview
Explosions in the Sky fit to " Your Hand in Mine" for the soundtrack of Friday Night Lights, along with other material that was created for the film. They shortened the piece of more than eight minutes to about four minutes and supplemented it with string accompaniment. Part of the title, especially the crescendo at minute 6:18 were used in a series of television commercials and radio commercials of the energy company " Reliant Energy ".
