" [ ... ] Spectacular images with tremendous suggestive power [ ... ] The great merit of Darren Aronofsky is to want to create cinematic worlds that must be regarded as unfilmable. [ ... ] Great movie! - Predicate: Especially valuable "

" [ ... ] A stunning, intoxicating journey through three different age, a mythic- visionary cinema trip with the theme of life and death and immortality. An overwhelming and intoxicating film from which I went out so excited that I have considered it to me in the next press showing the same again. , The Fountain ' is a film that is addictive. Addicted to these incredibly beautiful images of the universe, after the mysterious events in this feverish, dripping, dark jungle, the troubling results of this tremendously exciting search for a cure. [ ... ] And then it's just a joy to watch the fantastic actors. "

" Darren Aronofsky wallows with, The Fountain ', also a U.S. major order, 97 long minutes in Eso - kitsch. [ ... ] The images salad in 'The Fountain', however, is done at its best, alternating in a cascade tireless Central perspectives between the 16th century and the present. [ ... ] With exquisite pathos and visually and acoustically predominantly golden tones of the film celebrates its mix of Mayan culture, Christianity and Buddhism. "

"Images of floating beauty in 'The Fountain' - [ ... ] Esoteric Quark, implausible love story, half-baked myths recycling. [ ... ] No masterpiece, but ambitious, original and strangely short. "

" Then there's the trash that is not intended as such, the worst category of all: the mutant to disaster art film. The long-awaited, The Fountain ' by Darren Aronofsky is such a copy [ ... ] Especially around the actors can do a sufferer. [ ... ] Art supposed to be laden with meaning and importance. In fact, it's just banal, pretentious and annoying. "
