Cliff Curtis

Cliff Curtis ( born July 27, 1968 in Rotorua ) is a New Zealand actor.

Life

Curtis received his acting training at the New Zealand Drama School and at the Scuola Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland. In 1993 he received his first role in The Piano with Holly Hunter and Harvey Keitel.

In the same year the film Desperate Remedies followed for which he was awarded the New Zealand Film and TV Award. This prize was awarded to Curtis 2000 for Jubilee and 2003 for Whale Rider twice.

Due to his success in the home Hollywood became aware of him. There Curtis plays mainly characters with Latin American or Arab origin. From 2009, he starred in a leading role of the U.S. television series Trauma.
