The Great Southern Trendkill is the eighth album by the American thrash metal band Pantera. The album was released on 7 May 1996 through East West Records. The album reached number four on the Billboard 200 and was certified in the U.S. in his publication year with gold and 2004 with a platinum record.

Formation and style

Unlike its predecessor, The Great Southern Trendkill fell back out a bit more diverse, more sedate pieces are included, such as 10's, Suicide Note, Pt. 1 and Floods, something more groove and melodic passages are used.
