The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond is an American film drama from the year 2008. Directed by Jodie Markell, the script was written some time ago Tennessee Williams.

Action

The action takes place in the southern states in the 1920s. Fisher Willow, the spoiled daughter of an American plantation owner, returns from her study abroad in Europe. However, in the native society makes them unpopular with their rapidly -edged type. Only Jimmy Dobyne - the poor working class boy who has to take care of his alcoholic father and mentally ill mother - is inclined towards her. Fisher hires Jimmy to accompany them on Society parties. Background

After the initial planning Lindsay Lohan should play the female lead role, but was replaced at the beginning of 2007 by Bryce Dallas Howard.
