The Met (skyscraper)

The MET is a skyscraper in Bangkok, Thailand.

It is located in Bangkok's Sathorn at 123 South Sathorn Road with direct access to Thanon Sathorn Thai ( "Southern Sathorn Road "). In the vicinity are the Embassy of Singapore and the Chong- nonsi station of the Bangkok Skytrain.

The MET is 228 meters high and has 69 floors, where 370 luxury condominiums are housed. Units are 92-408 m² of living space; the penthouse has 546 m². Feature is in this system, the ceiling height of 2.90 meters. The total floor area is 68,803 m².

It was built from October 2005 to March 2009 according to plans by the architectural firm WOHA Architects Pte. Ltd.. and Tandem Architects Co. Ltd.. The developer is the renowned Hotel Properties Limited group ( HPL).

The property offers a comprehensive range of luxury facilities, including separate drop-off areas and lobbies, large landscaped gardens, a 50 -meter swimming pool, fitness center with satellite gym, a rooftop terrace, a library, barbecue area and 2 tennis courts.

Prizes and awards

  • Emporis Skyscraper Award, 3rd place = bronze.
  • 2010 won the residential high-rise " The Met " the International Highrise Award (IHA ) after it had been awarded in 2009 with the award of the President of Singapore for design and the price of the World Architecture Festival in the category of development in residential worth 50,000 euros.
