The Monster (roller coaster)

Orochi Expo Country

The Monster is an inverted roller coaster in Parc Walygator, Maizières- lès -Metz, Lorraine. It is the first roller coaster from Bolliger & Mabillard in France.

Originally, the roller coaster at the Expo land in Japan was operated from 1996 to 2007 under the name Orochi.

An exact clone of the plant, with the exception of the brake is engaged with the Raptor at Cedar Point opened in 1994.

Construction began in January / February 2010. Due to bad weather, work began later than planned, which is why the inauguration, which was originally scheduled for April 10, 2010, was postponed. A second inauguration date in mid- June was also postponed because of the TÜV opening roller coaster at first not approved. On 9 July 2010, the railway was opened without further notice.

The 1200 m long distance reaches a height of 40 m and has six inversions: a 31 m high loop, a zero-g roll, a cobra roll, which consists of two inversions and two corkscrews. Trains run on the track at a top speed of 90 km / h

Due to his previous position in Japan The Monster is designed earthquake-proof.
