The New Dominion

The New Dominion is a Dutch melodic death metal band from Tilburg, which was founded in 2006.

History

The band was founded in March 2006 by drummer Yuma Van Eekelen, guitarist Tom Adams, singer Bart Schoorl and bassist Marc van Stiphout. After a six month search Michiel Oskam came as second guitarist for the band. After the band had developed the first songs she released in March 2007, the EP ... and Black Gleams the Eye. It was followed by several live performances and played it with bands like Six Feet Under, Belphegor, Nile and Behemoth, until the band in May 2008 signed a contract with Neurotic Records. In 2009 appeared at that label debut album ... and Kindling Deadly Slumber. The release was followed by a European tour with Pestilence and Vreid. After a one year break followed, so the band members could devote various solo projects. In early 2010 they began then with the writing of new material. In subsequent years, Marc van Stiphout left the band.

Style

The band plays melodic death metal, the vocals between clean and guttural vocals alternate. Partly also influences from thrash metal can be heard.
