The Nips

The Nipple Erectors were a punk band from London, the typical in their music '77 punk rock with rockabilly, pop and beat- mixed elements.

History

Nipple Erectors 1976 by the Shanne Bradley ( bass), Roger Towndrow were founded (guitar), Arcane Vendetta ( drummer ) and Shane MacGowan (vocals ), who later gained with the folk - punk band The Pogues world fame. Published in 1978, the Nipple Erectors their debut single, King of the Bop, which was produced by Stan Brennan, MacGowans employer in the Rocks off- record store in Soho and published on Soho Records. Then they shortened their band name to The Nips as it (translated as " the nipples hard doer" ) with the old name in the late 1970s was hard to get gigs.

In 2008, the band came together for two Reunionskonzerten, new material has not been published.
