The Nutty Professor ( Original title: The Nutty Professor ) is an American comedy film from the year 1996 This is a remake of the feature film The Nutty Professor from 1963 with Jerry Lewis.. The director was Tom Shadyac, the screenplay adapted David Sheffield, Barry W. Blaustein, Steve Oedekerk and Tom Shadyac. The main roles were played by Eddie Murphy, who took over at the same time several roles, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Action
Sherman Klump is a heavily overweight, but popular professor. One day he meets the Professor Carla Purty know and decides to decrease. The film received rather negative reviews in Germany. The representation Murphy was called vain, the film has been certified 21/1996 toilets Joke level in the TV magazine TV Movie. In the U.S. the reviews were somewhat less negative.
Awards
The film won the Film Award Oscar for Best Make- Up. In the same category he won the BAFTA Award for Best Special Effects, he was nominated for the BAFTA Award.
