The Pigeon Detectives

The Pigeon Detectives ( [ də ' pɪdʒɪn dɪ'tektɪvz ], Engl. Pigeons for The Detectives ) is founded in 2002, five-member indie band from Leeds in England.

Band History

The band was discovered by Steve Lamacq ( BBC Radio 1 ) in early 2006. Also in 2006, she became known to a wider audience thanks to tours as the opening act for the Dirty Pretty Things and the Kaiser Chiefs. On Dance to the radio, the label of ¡ Forward Russia! Masterminds Whiskas, they have now found their home. The EP of the Pigeon Detectives appeared on 19 January 2007 in Germany. Their first album, Wait for Me was released on 1 June 2007, followed by the album Emergency, which was published on 26 May 2008. On 4 April 2011, the band released their third album, Up, Guards and at ' Em! .

Style

Musical parallels with other British indie rock bands such as The Rakes and The Rifles. In the music of the Pigeon Detectives, however, flow to a greater extent than the two mentioned a sound elements from the history of British indie and rock music. Sometimes also melody and harmonies are used, which are reminiscent of the rock ' n ' roll in the 1950s.
