The Pineapple Thief is an English alternative and progressive rock band.
History
The English ( born in Germany ) Musicians Bruce Soord been active since the 1980s in various bands. As a member of Vulgar Unicorn he founded in 1999 ( as a supposed side project ) in Yeovil, Somerset own band in order to realize his ideas can: Pineapple Thief. After the first, rehearsed almost single-handedly and published on Cyclops Records album Abducting The Unicorn slowed progress on the successor for two years because different record companies showed interest in the project. The 2004 -established album 12 Stories Down liked Bruce Soord after completion not, and he changed it considerably not only in the mixing, but also left the tracks one and played some posts a new. After the album titled 10 Stories Down came out in 2005, the keyboard player left the band, which has since officially called The Pineapple Thief. During the slow-growing success of the group and the other original members were gradually replaced and changed the record company. In K -scope The Pineapple Thief are now labelmates gazpacho, Anathema and Steven Wilson. 2009 appeared as the opening act The Pineapple Thief of Riverside on their UK tour.
For the graphic design of their eighth studio album published in 2010, the legendary designer Storm Thorgerson could be won.
2011 started the record label Kscope, new to bring out the long out of print ( and fantastic prices traded on the Internet) early recordings of the band in remastered and partially remixed versions. They began with 10 Stories Down, which appeared along with the bonus EP 8 Days Later. The new version of the album Variations on a Dream put to the entire EP 8 Days in also remastered version at.
